Questions & Answers

We hear many questions from new and current chiropractic patients. Here are some of the most common questions and answers.

1What do you charge?

We will always perform a chiropractic screening exam at no charge to determine if you have a chiropractic problem. If you are a chiropractic case, then we will perform an orthopedic and neurological examination which is $95, and if x-rays are needed, those typically range between $50 and $100. This also includes a report of findings visit in which the doctor will explain the results of your tests.

2Do you take insurance?

Sandstone Chiropractic accepts insurance on many patients once we have determined you are a chiropractic case and we have accepted you into the practice. We will complete the paperwork and provide the billing service for you so that you focus on what’s most important; getting well!

3How long will my first visit last?

The first visit to our office typically takes between 1-1 ½ hours depending upon if therapies or treatment is provided that day. The first visit is typically the lengthiest because of the extensive testing and thoroughness we put into our new patient’s.

4Will I need x-rays?

X-rays can be a valuable asset when structuring a patient’s program of care. However, we only take x-rays when they are indicated, and not all of our patient’s will receive them for various reasons.

5Will I get adjusted on the first visit?

The doctors typically do not adjust on the first visit until they have determined that you are a chiropractic case. However, we recognize that many new patients have had previous chiropractic care and are familiar with the adjustment. This will ultimately be up to you and the doctor to discuss.
